Whilst we could be really finicky about Maruchan's definition of "Instant", it's no worse than a lot of fast-prep food makers who use the word, and to be fair it's quicker and easier than many; just boil up the kettle and then add the hot water and let it sit for a few minutes whilst a little bit of science (basically heat exchange and state transition) occurs.
