Chupa Chups
Ah, the Chupa Chup. Staple unit of the pocket-money spending child the world over. Chupa Chups have been around since the 1950s, invented in Barcelona, and the name comes from the Spanish verb “chupar” meaing to suck…so we suppose you could translate it as “Sucky Suck”. Which is an excellent name for a lolly.
Bizarre fact; the Chupa Chups logo was designed by surrealist artist Salvador Dali. Seriously.
