Gatorade

Gatorade – Sports Science To Fuel Athletes.  That's what it says on Google, but what does that really mean?  Without getting our white coats out and speaking to you over the tops of our spectacles, it's basically a drink that allows you to do more, for longer, without doing that kind of staggering  drunken walk/run that people sometimes do at the end of a marathon.  By replacing fluids, carbs and electrolytes, it “contributes to the maintenance of endurance performance” (yeah, Google again).

But why is it called Gatorade?  Because it was first made for the athletic teams that represented the University of Florida.  Their nickname?  The Florida Gators, of course!  We did actually know that part already, no Google required for that bit.
