Hawaiian Punch

Another brand from the steadfast Dr Pepper (that guy sure has his finger in a lot of drinks), Hawaiian Punch was originally invented in 1934 as a syrup ice cream topping.  Despite the fact that you could only get it wholesale in gallon jugs if you ran an ice-cream parlour, customers soon realised you could add water to make an excellent drink.  Eventually the company got the hint and started selling it as a drink themselves in the 1950s.  Now there’s loads of different flavours, all very fruity.
