Meiji

Meiji (pronounced “may-jee”) is actually a Japanese food and pharmaceutical company, started in 1916 by Hanji Soma in Tokyo  concentrating on health and wellness.  These are not generally words that come to mind when browsing Sweet Genie, we admit, but yes they do a range of chocolate including the very organised and well designed (and thus very Japanese) Yan Yan biscuit dippers.

If you think that the Yan Yan looks familiar, that’s because it was licenced for the UK by KP (the nut people) and you probably know it as the Choc Dip.  Yan Yans are a little more interesting and varied and, dare we say it, exotic.
