Peeps

Peeps are, at heart, marshmallow candy treats, usually in the shape of an animal or “seasonal related object” (think Christmas Tree), so they make good gifts.  They’ve been around since 1953 in the USA and Canada.  Most worthy thing of note in their bio is the annual “Peeps Eating” contest, held each year at National Harbor, Maryland, in front of the Peeps & Company store – the world record was set in 2017 at 255 peeps in 5 minutes.  National Peeps Day is 5th April in the USA.  It has yet to catch on over here but we live in hope.
