Starburst

Starburst, originally named Opal Fruits in the UK as anyone over a certain age will tell you knowingly, were introduced by Mars in 1959 after a nationwide competition to name their new confection, which netted the lucky winner (a chap called Peter Pfeffer) with the princely sum of £5 and some pretty significant bragging rights for almost forty years, until they changed the name to Starburst. Now they produce a wide variety of exceptionally fruity sweet treats and drink mixes.
